Relationship Counselling

Relate is the UK's largest and most experienced relationship counselling organisation. For over 70 years we have been helping people to work through their relationship difficulties and reach their own decisions about the best way forward. Whether it’s coping with an affair, a breakdown in communication or money problems causing arguments, there are loads of reasons why over 15,000 people a year make time to come to Relate.

We work hard to ensure that when you get in touch, you get an appointment quickly, sessions are available on weekdays, evenings or Saturday mornings.

Whatever the stresses and strains on your relationship, counselling can offer a way forward. Counsellors aren't there to make judgements about the rights or wrongs of relationship difficulties. Their role is to listen, to encourage you to talk openly about your concerns, and help you reach your own decisions about the best way forward. Let us help you find the right direction.

Support with separating - sometimes the next step is for a relationship is to end. Relate can help you to come to terms with the loss of the relationship - on your own or in sessions with your ex-partner. If you are parents, Relate counsellors can also help you and your ex-partner communicate with the needs of your children in mind.
