Family Counselling

We know that things like separation, kids getting into trouble, blended families, new babies and money troubles can affect the whole family. Relate Family Counselling offers a flexible approach to sorting out problems. Everyone has family arguments at some time. Usually these just blow over, but sometimes they just get worse. This is when a Relate Family Counsellor can help you work things out in a way that’s best for everyone.

Big changes in a family can cause stress for everyone, long running disputes can cause pain to the whole family, and the problems one person might be going through can affect their relationships with others.

How much does it cost?

We are a registered charity and do not aim to make a profit on our services. However, we do need to cover our costs. Sessions are £49.00. We are able to offer some services at a reduced rate. Please call us for more information.

Where?

Our family counselling service operates in a variety of community venues across Bedfordshire.

What will happen?

Relate Family Counsellors don’t take sides and won’t tell you what to do. They will explore with relationships within the family and work with you to talk through and sort out the problems. Before beginning Relate Family Counselling, you will have an initial consultation after which regular appointments will be set up. The counsellor might suggest that family members sometimes come alone or in smaller groups or bring other relatives to some sessions.
