Children & Young People's Counselling

Talktime is our young people’s counselling service. It is for any young person who is finding life difficult and wants someone to talk to. Our counsellors help you to talk honestly and openly and can support you with problems like family breakdown; moving in with a second family; bullying at school; friendship groups, pregnancy, new relationships, conflict and a whole range of other issues.

You can expect to be helped by a supportive and non judgemental counsellor, either at your local Relate centre near your home or you might see a Talktime counsellor in school. You can ask to see a counsellor yourself or you can be referred by your doctor, teacher, social worker or someone else you trust. What you say is confidential unless the counsellor is worried for your safety.

Many of our young clients tell us they feel happier after they have seen a Talktime Counsellor and are better able to deal with their problems, whether at school, at home or in your personal life.
